By virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States, it is hereby ordered that the followingdescribed public lands be, and they are hereby, withdrawn from all forms of appropriation under the public-land laws, including the mining laws, and, subject to valid existing rights, reserved under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior for use in connection with the production of magnesium metals and magnesium alloys for na tional defense purposes:
