EXEMPTIONS FROM CLASSIFICATION

The following paragraph is added to 27.2 c 2, Exemptions from classifi cation 11 P.R. 1424 :
Upon request of the Treasury Depart ment under authority of section 7 of -Executive Order 9691, it having been de termined to be in the public interest to except the position of attorney in the Treasury Department from the classified competitive service, and the Commis sion being prohibited by the current Ap propriation Act from using any funds for holding examinations for attorney posi tions, appointment to such position in said Department may be effected without civil service examination.
