WHEREAS, in my judgment, the pub lic interest requires that Herbert E.
Gaston, member of the Board of Direc tors of the Export-Import Bank of Washington, be exempted from compul sory retirement for age as proyided below:
NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 204 of the act of June 30, 1932, 47 Stat. 404
5 U. S. C. 715a, I hereby exempt the said Herbert E. Gaston from compulsory retirement for age for an indefinite period of time not extending beyond June 30, 1955, the date on which his present term of office expires.
