PUBLIC HEARINGS

In light of the Governors announcement on June 24, 2021, of the end of the State-declared state of emergency, and in support of the Citys continued efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, the City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing accessible both in person and remotely.
The public hearing will be held, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, starting, at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time. The public hearing will be held in person in the NYC City Planning Commission Hearing Room, Lower Concourse, 120 Broadway, New York, NY.
Masks are required to be worn to enter the building and during the hearing.
The meeting will be live streamed through Department of City Plannings DCPs website and accessible from the following webpage, which contains specific instructions on how to observe and participate remotely via the teleconferencing application Zoom, as well as materials relating, to the meeting: https www1.nyc.gov/site/

Authorization for Curb Cut The City Planning Commission may authorize, subject, to the applicable zoning district regulations, curb cuts that are prohibited by Section 115-52 Location of Access, to the Street, provided the Commission finds that a curb cut, at such location:
a is not hazardous to traffic safety;
b will not create or contribute to serious traffic congestion, or unduly inhibit vehicular movement;
c will not adversely affect pedestrian movement;
d will not interfere with the efficient functioning of bus lanes, specially designated streets and public transit facilities; and e will not be inconsistent with the character of the existing streetscape.
The Commission may prescribe appropriate conditions and safeguards to minimize adverse effects on the character of the surrounding area.
