LADIES AND GENTLEMEN --I transmit herewith a resolution honoring the life and memory of William Luking.
Your favorable consideration of this resolution will be appreciated.

Alderman Burke moved to Suspend the Rules Temporarily to permit immediate consideration of and action upon the said proposed resolution. The motion Prevailed.
The following is said proposed resolution:
WHEREAS, The members of this chamber were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend William H. Luking, a dedicated and extremely effective advocate forthe City of Chicago in the Illinois General Assembly; and WHEREAS, The eldest of nine children of Lowell and Elizabeth McCarthy Luking, Bill Luking was born in Connersville, Indiana, on August 7, 1947; he graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1969, and graduated from Northwestern University Law School in 1972; and
