Call To Order.
On Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 10:00 A.M., the Honorable Rahm Emanuel, Mayor, called the City Council to order. The Honorable Susana A. Mendoza, City Clerk, called the roll of members and it was found that there were present at that time: Aldermen Moreno, Fioretti, Dowell, Hairston, Sawyer, Holmes, Harris, Beale, Pope, Balcer, Cardenas, Quinn, Burke, Foulkes, Thompson, Thomas, Lane, OShea, Cochran, Brookins, Munoz, Zalewski, Chandler, Maldonado, Ervin, Graham, Reboyras, Suarez, Waguespack, Mell, Austin, Colon, Sposato, Mitts, Cullerton, Laurino, P. OConnor, M. OConnor, Smith, Tunney, Arena, Cappleman, Pawar, Osterman, Moore, Silverstein -- 46.

Pledge Of Allegiance.
Alderman Balcer led the City Council and assembled guests in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
Invocation.
Rabbi Tzvi Bider, Executive Director of Chicago Center for Torah and Chesed, opened the meeting with prayer.
