Call To Order.
On Friday, November 22, 1991 at 10:00 A.M., The Honorable Richard M.
Daley, Mayor, called the City Council to order. The clerk called the roll of members and it was found that there were present at that time: Aldermen Mazola, Tillman, Preckwinkle, Bloom, Steele, Beavers, Dixon, Shaw, Buchanan, Huels, Fary, Madrzyk, Burke, Jones, Coleman, Streeter, Murphy, Rugai, Troutman, Evans, Laski, Miller, Medrano, Gutierrez, Hendon, Burrell, Bialczak, Suarez, Mell, Austin, Wojcik, Banks, Giles, Cullerton, Doherty, Natarus, Eisendrath, Hansen, Levar, Shiller, Schulter, M. Smith, Stone - 43.
Quorum present.
At this point in the proceedings. Alderman Gutierrez informed the City Council that Alderman Garcia was absent as a consequence of his presence at the bedside of his father, who had suffered a massive heart attack.
Alderman Burke then requested that the City Council rise for a moment of silent prayer for Alderman jarcias father.
