The changes for the 20212022
hunting/fishing season noted in the table above are each based on a complete administrative record which, among other detailed documentation, also includes a hunt plan, a compatibility determination for refuges, and the appropriate National Environmental Policy Act NEPA; 42
U.S.C. 4321 et seq. analysis, all of which were the subject of a public review and comment process. These documents are available upon request.
Through these openings and expansions, we open or expand hunting or sport fishing on 2,066,116 acres within the National Wildlife Refuge System and the National Fish Hatchery System.

reaffirms the principles of E.O. 12866
while calling for improvements in the nations regulatory system to promote predictability, to reduce uncertainty, and to use the best, most innovative, and least burdensome tools for achieving regulatory ends.
