Sections 562.31 and 562.32 are revised to read as follows:
562.31 Admission to the advanced course. W h en a m em ber of the senior division R O T C h as completed the basic course or received credit therefor and has been selected by the professor of military science and tactics and the head of the institution fo r advanced training, he m ay if otherwise qualified be admitted to the advanced course within limits of the enrollm ent quota allotted to the institution. Enrollm ent in the advanced course norm ally w ill take place at or before the beginning of the school year, semester, term, or quarter following the completion of the basic bourse.
a Upon concurrence o f the head o f the institution, the professor of m ilitary science and tactics m ay defer enrollment in the advanced course in the case of a student who, at the time of becoming eligible for enrollment in the advanced course, normally w ill require m ore th an 2 years to complete his academic course.
Similarly, he m ay authorize postpone ment of an unexecuted portion o f an advanced course contract in the case of a student who would otherwise complete the advanced course prior to his aca demic graduation. Such postponement will extend only until the beginning of the period which w ill perm it the student to complete the advanced course w ith out curtailment. I n no case w ill a post ponement be granted w hich would result in a curtailment o r contraction o f the course into a period o f less th an 2
academic years. N o student w ill be ac cepted into the advanced course in whose case a postponement has been granted and who fails to apply fo r enrollment in sufficient time to complete the course without curtailment.
b No portion o f the R O T C course will be postponed beyond the date of graduation from the academic course which the student is pursuing. A stu dent in a postgraduate or professional course who completed the basic course as
a n undergraduate or has received ap pro priate credit therefor m ay enroll in the advanced course any time p rior to the beginning of the last 2 years of his course.
