A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS under the provisions of section 201 b of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Commerce, and the At torney General, jointly, are required to determine the annual quota of any quota area established pursuant to the provi sions of section 202 of the said Act, and to report to the President the quota of each quota area so determined; and WHEREAS the Acting Secretary of State, the Acting Secretary of Com merce, and the Attorney General have reported to the President that in accord ance with the duty imposed and the au thority conferred upon them by section 201 b of the Immigration and Nation ality Act, they jointly have made the determination provided for and com puted under the provisions of section 201 a of the said Act; and have fixed, in accordance therewith, immigration quotas as hereinafter set forth:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY S.
TRUMAN, President of the United States of America, acting under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by the aforesaid Act of Congress, do hereby proclaim and make known that the an nual quota of each quota area herein after enumerated has been determined in accordance with the law to be, and shall be, as follows:
