Chapter I Civil Service Commission P art 01O rganization and O fficial R ecords of the C ommission REGIONAL OFFICES

Section 01.16 is amended in pertinent part as follows:
. 01.16 Regional officesa Organ ization. In the interest of econdmy and efficiency in administration of the field service, the Commission has divided the United States into fourteen regions. The activities of each region center in a re gional office, located in a principal city within the region. A Regional Director is in charge of each Regional Office.
Each Regional Office supervises civil service activities within its area, in ac cordance with policies and procedures es tablished by the Commission, furnishes information to the public, and announces regional and local examinations to fill positions under the jurisdiction of the region.
The functions of the regionaloffice are performed under the regional director by Divisions and staff officials such as the following:
Regional Examining and Placement Divi sion.
Regional Investigations Division.
Regional Classification Division.
Regional Administrative Services Division or Staff.
Regional Inspection Division.
Regional Loyalty Board.
Budget and Fiscal Officer.
Personnel Officer.
Medical Officer.
Regional Veterans Federal Employment Representative.
Examiner for Appeals under section 14 of the Veterans Preference Act of 1944.
Regional Committee on Administrative Personnel.
