OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS November 11, 1943, is the twenty-fifth anniversary of the signing of the Armistice with Germany which terminated hostilities at the close of the first World War; and WHEREAS Senate Concurrent Reso lution 18 of the Sixty-ninth Congress, passed June 4, 1926 44 Stat. 1982, re quests the President of the United States to issue a proclamation calling for the observance of November 11 as Armistice Day; and WHEREAS we can best observe that day by rededicating ourselves, with the faith and loyalty of the men who fought and died for our cause during the first World War, to those tasks which are directed toward achieving victory in the present struggle:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FRANKLIN D.
ROOSEVELT, President of the United States of America, do hereby call upon the people of the United States to ob serve November 11, 1943, by devoting themselves whole-heartedly and with re newed fervor to every task that will con tribute to the winning of the war; and I
direct that the flag of the United States be displayed on all Government build ings on that day.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have here unto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States of America to be af fixed.
DONE at the city of Washington this 29th day of October, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and seal forty-three, and of the In dependence of the United States of America the one hundred and sixty-eighth.

Pursuant to the authority vested in the Director by Food Distribution Order No. 79, dated September 7, 1943 8 F.R.
12426, as amended, and to effectuate the purposes thereof, Director Food Distri bution Order No. 79.1 1401.34, relative to the conservation of fluid milk in the Baltimore, Maryland, milk sales area 8
F Jt. 13364, issued by the Director of Food Distribution on September 30,1943, is amended as follows:
The milk sales area described in 1401.34 b of the original order is modified in the following particulars:
Add election districts 4 and 8 in Balti more County and the city of Annapolis in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Effective date. This amendment of FDO No. 79-1 shall become effective at 12:01 a. m., e. w. t., November 1, 1943.
