W H E R E A S the hereinafter-described lands located within the F ort Peck In
dian Reservation in Montana have been acquired under authority of T itle H o f the National Industrial Recovery Act, ap proved June 16, 1933 48 Stat. 195, 200, in connection w ith the M ilk R iver L A M T 2 Land Utilization P roject o f the Department o f Agriculture; and W H E R E A S by Executive Order No.
7908, dated June 9, 1938,1 all the right, title, and interest o f the United States in such lands was transferred to the Sec retary o f Agriculture fo r use, adminis tration, and disposition in accordance with the provisions o f T itle H I of the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act, ap proved July 22, 1937 50 Stat. 522, 525, and the related provisions o f T itle IV
thereof; and W H E R E A S it appears that the trans fer of jurisdiction over such lands from the Secretary o f Agriculture to the Sec retary o f the In terior fo r administra tive purposes would be in the public interest:
N O W , TH E R E FO R E , by virtue o f and pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 32, T itle H I o f the said Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act, it is or dered th at jurisdiction over the herein after-described lands, together w ith all improvements thereon, acquired by the United States in connection with the M ilk R iver L A - M T 2 Project, be, and it is hereby, transferred from the Secre tary of Agriculture to the Secretary of the Interior; and the Secretary o f the Interior is hereby authorized to admin ister such lands, through the Commis sioner o f Indian Affairs, fo r the benefit of such Indians as the Secretary m ay designate, under such conditions o f use and administration as w ill best carry out the purposes o f the land-conservation and land-utilization program fo r which such lands were acquired:
