S ec. 75.07 Selection of candidates.

S ec . 75.01 The M ilitary Academy.
The United States Military Academy is an institution established by the Gov ernment for the practical and theoreti cal training of young men for the mili tary service. Its cadets are given a com prehensive and general education of col legiate grade and a sufficient basic mili tary education and training to enable them to pursue their careers as officers of the Army.
Direction and supervision of the M ili tary Academy are vested by law in the W ar Department under such officer or officers as the Secretary of W ar may se lect, and, in accordance with this provi sion, the Chief of Staff has been desig nated as the officer in charge of all mat ters pertaining to the institution.
