WITHDRAWAL OF PUBLIC LAMBS FOR LOOKOUT STATIONS

Oregon By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the act of June 25, 1910, ch. 421, 36 Stat. 847, as amended by the act of August 24,1912, ch. 369, 37 Stat. 497, it is ordered as follows:
S ection 1. Executive Order No. 6910 of November 26, 1934, as amended, temporarily withdrawing all public lands in certain States for classification and other purposes, is hereby revoked as to the following-described tracts of public land in Oregon:
W illamette Meridian T. 39 S R. 13 W sec. 10, S4S&NE%SE% and S E ftS E ;
T. 84 S., R. 14 W., sec. 3, W S W N E ft and E&SE%NW%;
aggregating approximately 90 acres.

S ection 2. Subject to valid existing rights, the tracts of land described in section 1 of this order are hereby tempo rarily withdrawn from settlem ent, location, sale, or entry, and reserved for use by the Forest Service of the Department of Agriculture as lookout stations in connection w ith the ad ministration of the Siskiyou National Forest.
S ection 3. Executive Orders No. 7270 of January 7, 1936, and No. 7303 of February 25, 1936, temporarily withdrawing the following-described lands in Oregon and reserving them for use by the Department of Agriculture as lookout stations in connection with the adm inistration of the said National Forest, are hereby revoked:

sec. 15, lo t 2;

S ection 4. Section 3 of this order shall continue in force
and effect unless and until revoked by-the President or by act of Congress.

Section 605, of the Revenue Act of 1918, provides:
The business o f a rectifier o f spirits shall be carried an, and th e tax on rectified spirits shall be paid, under su ch rules, regu lations, and bonds as may be prescribed by th e Commissioner, w ith th e approval of th e Secretary.

Pursuant to this authority of the Statute, Paragraphs 42
and 43 of Regulations 15 are hereby amended as follows:
P aragraph 42. I n determ ining th e proof of distilled spirits and rectified spirits to w hich saccharine or other solid m atter has n ot been added, th e standard hydrometer set, consisting of cup w ith thermom eter and th e necessary stem s, will be used. In connection w ith th e use of such instrum ents, rectifiers m u st provide them selves w ith the G auging M anual of January 1934, and follow closely th e Instructions therein relative to th e gauging of spirits.
P aragraph 43. In determ ining th e alcoholic con ten t of blended w hiskies containing sherry wine, prune juice, caramel, glycerine, etc., and of wines, cordials, liqueurs, and other rectified products containing saccharine or other solid m atter, th e Juerst Ebulliometer, or th e Salleron-D ujardin Ebullioscope, or a sm all still, will be used. In connection w ith th e use of su ch instrum ents, recti fiers m ust provide them selves w ith a copy of th e Wine R egulations No. 7, of May 1930, and follow closely th e instructions in Fart IV
thereof relative to th e use of su ch instrum ente. The tables in th e appendix of su ch regulations w ill be used to ascertain th e alcoholic con ten t of th e w ines or other liquor. The alcoholic con te n t show n in such tables is th e percent of alcohol by volum e and should be m ultiplied by tw o to ascertain th e proof of th e wines or rectified products.
