Alderman Austin moved to Suspend the Rules Temporarily for the immediate consideration of and action upon the said proposed resolution. The motion Prevailed.
The following is said proposed resolution:
WHEREAS, January 15,1991, marks the sixty-second anniversary ofthe birth of Martin Luther King; and WHEREAS, Dr. King was awarded the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize for leading nonviolent civil rights demonstrations, and led the way to the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act and a more equitable society; and
