VII. Conclusion Based upon its evaluation of the 12
exemption applications, FMCSA renews the exemptions of the aforementioned drivers from the hearing requirement in 391.41 b11. In accordance with 49
U.S.C. 31136e and 31315b, each exemption will be valid for two years unless revoked earlier by FMCSA.

FMCSA announces the charter renewal of the MCSAC, a Federal advisory committee that provides FMCSA with advice and recommendations on motor carrier safety programs and motor carrier safety regulations through a consensus process. This charter renewal is effective September 27, 2021, and will expire after 2 years unless it is renewed.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Pursuant to section 14 of the Federal Advisory Committee Act Pub. L. 92463, FMCSA is giving notice of the charter renewal for the MCSAC. The MCSAC
was established to provide FMCSA with advice and recommendations on motor carrier safety programs and motor carrier safety regulations. The MCSAC
comprises up to 25 voting representatives from safety advocacy, safety enforcement officials, labor, and industry stakeholders of motor carrier safety. Applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply; the diversity of the Committee helps ensure the SUMMARY:

ACTION: Notice of renewal of exemptions; request for comments.
FMCSA announces its decision to renew exemptions for five individuals from the requirement in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations FMCSRs that interstate commercial motor vehicle CMV
drivers have no established medical history or clinical diagnosis of epilepsy or any other condition which is likely to cause loss of consciousness or any loss of ability to control a CMV. The exemptions enable these individuals who have had one or more seizures and are taking anti-seizure medication to continue to operate CMVs in interstate commerce.
DATES: Each group of renewed exemptions were applicable on the dates stated in the discussions below and will expire on the dates stated in the discussions below. Comments must be received on or before November 1, 2021.
