Specialty MR lamp means a lamp that has an MR shape as defined in ANSI
C79.12002 incorporated by reference;
see 430.3, a diameter of less than or equal to 2.25 inches, a lifetime of less than or equal to 300 hours, and that is designed and marketed for a specialty application.
Traffic signal lamp means a lamp that is designed and marketed for traffic signal applications and has a lifetime of 8,000 hours or greater.

AGENCY:
SUMMARY: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive AD for certain Airbus SAS Model A318 series airplanes; Model A319111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 131, 132, 133, 151N, and 153N airplanes; and Models A320
and A321 series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a determination that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This proposed AD would require revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency EASA AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference.
The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA must receive comments on this proposed AD by October 4, 2021.
