SUMMARY: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice announces the Rural BusinessCooperative Services intention to request an extension for a currently approved information collection in support of the program Value-Added Producer Grants.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Office of Management and Budgets OMB
regulation 5 CFR part 1320
implementing provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 Pub.
L. 10413 requires that interested members of the public and affected agencies have an opportunity to comment on information collection and recordkeeping activities see 5 CFR
1320.8d. This notice identifies an information collection that RBCS is submitting to OMB as extension to an existing collection with Agency adjustment.
Comments are invited on: a Whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the Agency, including whether the information will have practical utility; b the accuracy of the Agencys estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; c ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and d ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, including through the use of appropriate automated, electronic, mechanical, or other technological collection techniques or other forms of information technology. Abstract: The purpose of this information collections to obtain information necessary to evaluate grant applications to determine the eligibility of the applicant and the project to determine which projects should be funded.
Estimate of Burden: Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 39 hours per grant application.
Respondents: Independent producers, agriculture producer groups, farmeror rancher-cooperatives, and majority controlled producer-based business ventures.

Investment Assistance The Department of Commerce will submit the following information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget OMB for review and clearance in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, on or after the date of publication of this notice. We invite the general public and other Federal agencies to comment on proposed, and continuing information collections, which helps us assess the impact of our information collection requirements and minimize the publics reporting burden. Public comments were previously requested via the Federal Register on May 27, 2021, during a 60-day comment period.
This notice allows for an additional 30
days for public comments.
