drugs limited try new-drug applications to prescription sale. N o comments nor objections were filed to the exem ption irora prescription-dispensing require ments of sulfur dioxide preparations meeting the conditions set out in the pro posed amendment w ithin the 30-day Period stipulated in the above-referenced notice, and the amendment set out below is hereby ordered, without change, e f fective 30 days from the date o f publica tion of this order in the F ed eral R e g is

N action is being taken at this tim e on the proposal to exem pt doxylamine succinate preparations from prescrip tion-dispensing requirements, since fu r ther consideration is being given to this matter.

13 Sulfur dioxide preparations meeting all the follow ing conditions:

ii T h e sulfur dioxide and a ll other components o f the preparation m eet th eir professed standards o f identity, strength, quality, and purity.
iii I f the preparation is a new drug, a n application pursuant to section 505

iv T h e preparation contains not more than 5 grams o f sulfur dioxide per 100 m illiliters o f solution. v i T h e directions fo r use recommend or suggest not m ore than two applicat io n s a day f o r not m ore than 1 week, except as directed by a physician.
