On April 10, 1947, notice of proposed rule making was published in the F ederal R egister 12 E . R . 2367 regarding the proposed revision of United States Standards for Grades of Frozen Spinach.
After consideration of all relevant mat ters presented, including the proposals set forth in the aforesaid notice, the fol lowing revised United States Standards for Grades of Frozen Spinach are hereby promulgated pursuant to the authority contained in the Department of Agri culture Appropriation Act, 1948 Pub.

Frozen spin ach is the product which is prepared from the succulent leaves and stems of fresh spinach Spinacia oleracea by sorting, trimming, washing, and pre cooking or blandhing such leaves and stems and which is frozen and stored at a temperature necessary for the preser vation of the frozen product.
