This document represents a compila tion of Food Production Order 3 l to gether with all announcements, amend ments, supplementary orders, and inter pretations i s s u e d thereunder. Some changes are also effected by this docu ment; such changes are denoted by a notation at the end of each section which is changed. To the extent that any prior order of the Food Production Adminis tration is inconsistent with this compila tion, this document shall take preced ence.
In view of the drastic limitation of production of new farm machinery and equipment, it is necessary in the general public interest that the distribution and use of new farm machinery and equip ment be so controlled as best to promote the war effort. Accordingly, this Food Production Order 3, which establishes a procedure for effectuating that purpose, is issued.
Pursuant to the provisions of Execu tive Orper 9280, issued on December 5, 1P42 7 F.R. 10179, and Executive Order 9322 8 F.R. 3807 issued on March 26, 1943, by the President of t! United States: It is hereby ordered, That:
