Th e acreage allotm ent o f corn for any cal endar year shall be th at acreage in the com
m ercial corn -producin g area which, on the basis o f the average yield fo r corn in such area durin g the ten calendar years im m edi ately preceding such calendar year, adjusted for abnorm al weather conditions and trends in yield, w ill produce a n am oun t o f corn in such area w h ich the Secretary determines will, together w ith c o m produced in the United States outside the commercial cornproducing area, m ake available a supply for the m arketing year begin n ing in such calen dar year, equal to the reserve supply level.
The Secretary shall proclaim such acreage al lotm ent n ot later th an February 1 of the calendar year for which such acreage a llot m ent was determ ined .

Whereas paragraph c of section 301
of said Act provides as follows:

eral G overnm ent shall be used by the Secre tary in m aking the determ inations required to be m ade by the Secretary under this Act.
Now therefore, be it known that I, Claude R. Wickard, Secretary of Agricul ture of the United States of America, act ing under and pursuant to, and by virtue of, the authority vested in me by the Actf of Congress known as the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938, as amended, upon the basis of the latest available sta tistics of the Federal Government, do hereby ascertain, determine, and pro claim under section 328 of said Act:
721.4021 Corn acreage allotment for the commercial corn-producing area for 1943. That the acreage allotment of corn for the commercial corn-producing area for the calendar year 1943 shall be 43,423,000 acres. 52 Stat. 52.202
