E xecutive O rder MODIFICATION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 7709-A OF SEPTEMBER
16, 1937, ABOLISHING THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY COUNCIL

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me under the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935 49
Stat. 115 and the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1937, approved June 29, 1937 Public Resolution No. 47, 75th Cong., and otherwise, Executive Order No. 7709-A of Sep tember 16, 1937,1 abolishing, effective December 31, 1937, the National Emergency Council, is hereby modified so as to ex tend the date for the abolishment of the said National Emer gency Council and for the transfer of its funds, records and property, to June 30, 1938, unless the said Council shall be sooner abolished by action of the President.

2. That said Orders Nos. 89 to 101, inclusive, as modified by orders previous hereto and as modified herein, shall remain in full force and effect.
3. That the Secretary of the Commission shall forthwith mail copies of this Order and Supplement No. 1 to Descrip tion of Market Areas to the Consumers Counsel; the Secre taries of the Bituminous Coal Producers Boards for Districts Nos. 1 to 13, inclusive; to code members within Districts Nos.
1 to 13, inclusive; shall cause copies of this order and said Supplement No. 1, to Description of Market Areas be made available for inspection by all interested parties at the Sec retarys office of the Commission and at all statistical bu reaus of the Commission; and shall cause to be published a copy of this order in the F ederal R egister.
