Ensuring security of supply is a multi-level competence shared among different actors and requires effective cooperation among them. These actors include Member States, regulators, transmission system operators, distribution system operators and other stakeholders.

In order to ensure security of supply, the new European entity for distribution system operators established under Article 52 of Regulation EU 2019/943 for the cooperation of distribution-system operators at EU level should be directly involved as a member of the Electricity Coordination Group.
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Decision 2012/C 353/02 is amended as follows:
1 In Article 4, paragraph 1, the following point e is added:
e the European entity for distribution system operators EU DSO entity established by Regulation EU 2019/943;
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
