Metal halide lamp fixtures are designed to be operated with lamps of certain rated lamp wattages and contain ballasts that can operate lamps at these wattages. To further focus the analysis, DOE selected a representative rated wattage in each equipment class. Each representative wattage was the most common wattage within each equipment class. In the August 2020
NOPD DOE found that common wattages within each equipment class were the same for outdoor and indoor fixtures. Specifically, DOE selected 70 W, 150 W, 250 W, 400 W, 1,000 W

DOE did not receive any comments on the representative wattages presented in the August 2020 NOPD and therefore continues to analyze the same representative wattages in this final determination. The representative wattages for each equipment class are summarized in Table IV.4 of this document. See chapter 5 of this final determination TSD for further details.
