39.19, send your request to your principal inspector or local Flight Standards District Office, as appropriate. If sending information directly to the manager of the certification office, information may be emailed to: 9ANM-LAACO-AMOC-REQUESTS@faa.gov.

Notice of proposed rulemaking NPRM.

ACTION:

SUMMARY: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive AD for certain Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd &
Co KG RRD Trent 1000 model turbofan engines. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of high levels of wear on the seal fins on a small number of certain high-pressure turbine triple seals. This proposed AD would require manual deactivation of the modulated air system MAS control valves. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
DATES: The FAA must receive comments on this proposed AD by September 27, 2021.
