c Applicability This AD applies to Bombardier, Inc., Model BD1001A10, certificated in any category, serial numbers 20003 through 20780 inclusive.
d Subject Air Transport Association ATA of America Code 32, Landing gear.
e Unsafe Condition This AD was prompted by a discovery that a lockwire may not have been installed on the side stay actuator pin nut of the main landing gear MLG. The FAA is issuing this AD to address a possible missing lockwire, which could result in loss of the nut, and if undetected, lead to the collapse of the affected MLG.
f Compliance Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.

g Required Actions Within 12 months after the effective date of this AD: Inspect the left-hand LH and right-hand RH MLG side stay actuator assembly pin nuts for presence of a lockwire, in accordance with paragraph 2.B of the Accomplishment Instructions of the applicable service information specified in paragraphs g1 and 2 of this AD. If the lockwire is missing: Before further flight, install a lockwire in accordance with paragraph 2.C of the Accomplishment Instructions of the applicable service information specified in paragraphs g1
and 2 of this AD.

1 Alternative Methods of Compliance AMOCs: The Manager, New York ACO
Branch, FAA, has the authority to approve AMOCs for this AD, if requested using the procedures found in 14 CFR 39.19. In accordance with 14 CFR 39.19, send your request to your principal inspector or responsible Flight Standards Office, as appropriate. If sending information directly to the manager of the certification office, send it to ATTN: Program Manager, Continuing Operational Safety, FAA, New York ACO Branch, 1600 Stewart Avenue, Suite 410, Westbury, NY 11590; telephone 5162287300; fax 5167945531. Before using any approved AMOC, notify your appropriate principal inspector, or lacking a principal inspector, the manager of the responsible Flight Standards Office.

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive AD for all Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd. & Co KG

72C model turbofan engines. This proposed AD was prompted by the

manufacturer revising the engine Time Limits Manual TLM life limits of certain critical rotating parts and updating certain maintenance tasks. The proposed AD would require the operator to revise the airworthiness limitation section ALS of their approved maintenance program AMP by incorporating the revised tasks of the applicable TLM for each affected model turbofan engine, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency EASA AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference IBR. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
