1. Section 29.8 d is amended to read as follows:

The regulations in this subpart govern the Great Plains Conservation Program.

2. Section 29.9 a is amended to read as follows:
29.9 M ilitary service, a Periods of honorable active service in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard of the United States shall, after the employee has completed 5 years civilian service, be credited under the re tirement law. No credit for any military service shall be allowed if the employee is receiving retired pay awarded for reasons other than 1 service-connected disability incurred in combat with an enemy of the United States, 2 serviceconnected disability caused by an in strumentality of war and incurred in line of duty during an enlistment or em ployment as provided in Veterans Regu lation 1 a , part I, paragraph I, or 3
under Chapter 67, Title 10, United States Code.
