CHANGES IN AREAS QUARANTINED BECAUSE OP
VESICULAR EXANTHEMA

Pursuant to the authority conferred by sections 1 and 3 of the act of March 3, 1905, as amended 21 U. S. C. 123 and 125, sections 1 and 2 of the act of Feb ruary 2, 1903, as amended 21 U. S. C.
I l l and 120, and section 7 of the act of May 29, 1884, as amended 21 U. S. C.
117, 76.26 in Part 76 of Title 9, Code of Federal Regulations, containing a notice of the existence in certain areas of the swine disease known as vesicular exanthema and establishing a quaran tine because of such disease, is hereby amended to read as follows:
76.26 Notice and quarantine, a Notice is hereby given that the conta gious, infectious and communicable dis ease of swine known as vesicular exan thema exists in the following areas:

b The Secretary of Agriculture,Animal Industry Bureau having determined that swine in the Rules and regulations:
States named in paragraph a of this Hog cholera, swine plague, and section are affected with the contagious, other communicable diseases;
infectious and communicable disease changes in areas quaran known as vesicular exanthema and that tined because of vesicular it is necessary to quarantine the areas exanthema__________________
specified in paragraph a of this section and the following additional areas in Army Department such States in order to prevent the Rules and regulations:
spread of said disease from such States, Discharge or separation from hereby quarantines the areas specified Service; discharge for con in paragraph a of this section and in venience of the Government.

Effective date. This amendment shall become effective upon issuance. I t in cludes within the areas in which vesicular exanthema has been found to exist, and in which a quarantine has been estab lished:

Hereafter, all of the restrictions of the quarantine and regulations in 9 CFR
Part 76, Subpart B, as amended 17
F. R. 10538, as amended, apply with respect to shipments of swine and car casses, parts and offal of swine from these areas.
This amendment excludes from the areas in which vesicular exanthema has been found to exist, and in which a quarantine has been established:
