EXECUTIVE ORDER 10222
P r o v id in g fo r C e r t a in T ransfers t o t h e F ederal C i v i l D e f e n s e A d m in is t r a
t io n
By virtue of the authority vested in me by section 404 of the Federal Civil Defense Act of 1950 Public Law 920,81st Congress, and as President of the United States, it is ordered as follows:
1. So much of the health services and special weapons defense functions now being performed by the Health Re sources Office of the National Security Resources Board as relates to civil de fense is hereby transferred to the Fed eral Civil Defense Administration and shall remain under the jurisdiction of the Federal Civil Defense Administrator until further order of the President.
2. There shall be transferred to the Federal Civil Defense Administration such of the property and records of the National Security Resources Board as relate, as determined jointly by the Chairman of the National Security Re sources Board and the Federal Civil De fense Administrator, to the functions transferred by the provisions of para graph 1 of this order or to other func tions now vested in the Federal Civil Defense Administration, and such of the personnel of the Health Resources Office of the National Security Resources Board as the said Chairman and Ad ministrator shall jointly determine to be engaged primarily in the performance of the said transferred functions.
3. This order shall be effective as of March 4, 1951.

By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and statutes, in cluding the Defense Production Act of 1950, and as President of the United States and Commander in Chief of the
armed forces, the Atomic Energy Com mission is hereby designated as an addi tional guaranteeing agency under section 301 of the Defense Production Act of 1950, and the provisions of sections 301, 302, and 902 of Executive Order No.
10161 of September 9, 1950, as amended, together with the provisions of Executive Order No. 10182 of November 21, 1950, as amended, are hereby made applicable to the Atomic Energy Commission to the same extent as they are applicable to other guaranteeing agencies under sec tion 301 of the Defense Production Act of 1950.
Nothing in this Executive order shall be deemed to supersede any provision of Executive Order No. 10193 of December 16, 1950.
