NOTICES
to believe are residents of Germany, are nationals of a designated enemy country Germany;

That the property described as fol lows: Real property situated in the County of Cook, State of Illinois, partic ularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, together with all hereditaments, fixtures, improvements and appurte nances thereto, and any and all claims for rents, refunds, benefits or other pay ments arising from the ownership of such property, is property within the United States owned or controlled by, payable or de liverable to, held on behalf of or on account of, or owing to, or which is evidence of ownership or control by, the person named in subparagraph 1 hereof, and the personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, legatees and distributees of Jacob Scherb, deceased, the aforesaid nationals of a designated enemy country Germany;
and it is hereby determined:
4. That to the extent that the person named in subparagraph 1 hereof and th e
personal representatives, heirs, next off kin, legatees and distributees of Jacob Scherb, deceased, are not within a desig nated enemy country, the national inter est of the United States requires that such persons be treated as nationals of a designated enemy country Germany, All determinations and all action re quired by law, including appropriate consultation and certification, having been made . and taken, and, it being deemed necessary in the national in terest, There is hereby vested in the Attorney General of the United States the prop erty described in subparagraph 3 hereof, subject to recorded liens, encumbrances and other rights of record held by or for persons who are not nationals of desig nated enemy countries, to be held, used, administered, liquidated, sold or other wise dealt with in the interest of and for the benefit of the United States.
The terms national and designated enemy country as used herein shall have the meanings prescribed in section 10 of Executive Order 9193, as amended.
