For the purposes of title I of the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act, as amended, average values of efficient family-type farm-management units and investment limits for the counties identified below are determined to be as herein set forth. The average values and investment limits heretofore estab lished for said counties, which appear in the tabulations of average values and investment limits under 311.30, Chap ter HE, Title 6 of the Code of Federal Regulations 13 F. R. 9381, are hereby superseded by the average values and investment limits set forth below for said counties.

5.1 Parity index and index of prices received by farmers. The parity index for the purpose of calculating parity prices according to the formula con tained in section 301 a of the Agricul tural Adjustment Act of 1938, as amended by the Agricultural Acts of 1948 and 1949 hereinafter referred to as section 301 a, shall be the index of prices paid by farmers, interest, taxes, and farm wage rates, as revised January 1950 and published by the Bureau of Agricultural Economics in the January 31, 1950 and subsequent issues of the monthly report, Agricultural Prices.
For the purpose of calculating parity prices according to the formula which was in effect prior to January 1, 1950
and which is applicable to basic com modities until 1954, if higher than the parity price determined by the new formula as provided for by section 301
a 1 G, and for calculating transi tional parity prices for nonbasic com modities, as provided for by section 301
a 1 E, the indexes of prices paid and of prices received, including interest and taxes, shall continue to be calculated using the same weights and formula as were utilized for computing parity prices prior to January 1, 1950. The publica tion of these indexes by the Bureau of Agricultural Economics in the monthly report, Agricultural Prices, shall be continued.
The measure of the general level of prices received by farmers as provided for in section 301 a 1 B ji shall be the index of prices received by farm ers as revised in January 1950 and pub lished by the Bureau of Agricultural Economics in the January 31, 1950, and subsequent issues of "Agricultural Prices.
