At a session of the Federal Communi cations Commission, held at its offices in Washington, D. C., on the 22d day of December, 1948;
The Commission having under consid eration the above-entitled application re questing a permit to construct a new standard broadcast station to operate on the frequency 1320 kilocycles, with 500
watts power, daytime only in Redlands, California :
It is ordered, That, pursuant to section 309 a of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, the said application be, and it is hereby, designated for hear ing at a time and place to be designated by subsequent order of,the Commission, upon the following issues:
1. To determine the areas and popula tions which may be expected to gain or lose primary service from the operation of the proposed station and the charac ter of other broadcast service available to those areas and populations.
2. To determine whether the opera tion of the proposed station would involve objectionable interferehce with station KITO, San Bernardino, California or with any other existing broadcast sta tions and, if so, the nature and extent thereof, the areas and populations af fected thereby, and the availability of other broadcast service to such areas and populations.
3. To determine whether the opera tion of the proposed station would in volve objectionable interference with the services proposed in any other pending applications for broadcast facilities and, if so, the nature and extent thereof, the areas and populations affected thereby, and the availability of other broadcast service to such areas and populations.
4. To determine whether the installa tion and operation of the proposed sta tion would be in compliance with the Commissions Rules and Standards of Good Engineering Practice Concerning Standard Broadcast Stations.
It is further ordered, That San Ber nardino Broadcasting Company, Incor porated licensee of Station KITO, San Bernardino, California, be, and it is here by, made a party to the proceeding.
