Causing, in connection with offer, etc., in commerce, of imported thumb tacks, glove hands and other similar imported products, the brands or marks on im ported glove hands, or other sim ila r products, which indicate the foreign origin or manufacture of such merchan dise, to be removed, erased or concealed so as to mislead or deceive purchasers and prospective purchasers with refer ence to the foreign origin or manufac ture thereof; or causing, in aforesaid connection, such imported thumb tacks, or other similar products, to be removed from the containers on which are brands or marks indicating the foreign origin or manufacture of such merchandise and to be placed in containers bearing no such brands or marks so as to mislead or de ceive purchasers and prospective pur chasers, as above set forth; prohibited.
