History The FAA published a notice of proposed rulemaking in the Federal Register 86 FR 33588, June 25, 2021
for Docket No. FAA20210171 to amend Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Tuscaloosa National Airport, Tuscaloosa, AL, due to the decommissioning of the CRIMSON
VORTAC.
Interested parties were invited to participate in this rulemaking effort by submitting written comments on the proposal to the FAA. No comments were received.
Class E airspace designations are published in Paragraph 6005, of FAA
Order 7400.11E, dated July 21, 2020, and effective September 15, 2020, which is incorporated by reference in 14 CFR
71.1. The Class E airspace designations listed in this document will be published subsequently in the Order.

The Rule The FAA is amending 14 CFR part 71
by amending the Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Tuscaloosa National Airport, Tuscaloosa, AL, as the CRIMSON VORTAC is being decommissioned. The Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface is amended by increasing the radius from 7.0 miles to 9.4 miles, adding an extension 4.0 miles each side of the 117 bearing from the airport extending from the 9.4-mile radius to 11.8 miles southeast of the airport and within 2.0 miles each side of the of the 041 bearing extending from the 9.4mile radius to 11.5 miles northeast of the airport and within 4.0 miles each side of the 296 bearing extending from the 9.4-mile radius to 10.8 miles northwest of the airport and within 2.0
miles each side of the 221 bearing extending from the 9.4-mile radius to 11.8 miles southwest of the airport. This action also updates the name of Tuscaloosa National Airport, formerly Tuscaloosa Municipal Airport AL.

The FAA has determined that this action qualifies for categorical exclusion under the National Environmental Policy Act in accordance with FAA
Order 1050.1F, Environmental Impacts: Policies and Procedures, paragraph 56.5a. This airspace action is not expected to cause any potentially significant environmental impacts, and no extraordinary circumstances exist that warrant preparation of an environmental assessment.

ACTION: Final rule.
AGENCY:
This action amends the Class E airspace extending upward from 700
feet above the surface at Scott City Municipal Airport, Scott City, KS. This action is the result of an airspace review due to the decommissioning of the Scott City non-directional beacon NDB. The geographical coordinates of the airport are also updated to coincide with the FAAs aeronautical database.
DATES: Effective 0901 UTC, October 7, 2021. The Director of the Federal Register approves this incorporation by reference action under 1 CFR part 51, subject to the annual revision of FAA
Order 7400.11 and publication of conforming amendments.
