The petitioner believes no analytical method is needed because the requirement is not applicable as an exemption from tolerance has been submitted. Potassium carbonate, a salt occurring abundantly in nature, would dissociate into its component ions potassium and carbonate once dissolved in water for application. In turn, carbonate will be part of an equilibrium mixture of bicarbonate, carbonate, and carbonic acid.Being naturally abundant, these ions would add to the like ions that already exist in the environment.
Potassium and carbonate ions would be indistinguishable from the natural background of inorganic ions. Contact:
