364.7a Compromise or cancellation of debts through use of Form FHA858
when signature of debtor cannot be obtained.

Chapter I Civil Service Commission
Debts of a living debtor whose where abouts is known may be compromised or cancelled if it is impossible or imprac tical to obtain his signed application, provided all of the other applicable re quirements of 364.3 or 364.4, which ever is involved, have been met. Such settlements will be documented on Form FHA-858, which will be submitted to the County Committee for approval or re jection, and no settlement shall be made which is more favorable to the debtor than th at recommended by the County Committee.
