EXCLUDING CERTAIN LANDS FROM
AND ADDING CERTAIN LANDS TO
THE COLORADO NATIONAL MON
UMENT
By the President of the United States of America A Proclamation WHEREAS it appears that it would be in the public interest to exclude from the Colorado National Monument, in Colorado, certain lands which are not necessary for the proper care, manage ment, and protection of the objects of scientific interest situated on the lands within the monument; and WHEREAS it appears that it would also be in the public interest to add to such monument certain adjoining public lands and lands donated to the United States which are needed for administra tive purposes and for the proper care, management, and protection of the ob jects of scientific interest situated on lands now within the monument:

EISENHOWER, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the au thority vested in me by section 2 of the act of June 8, 1906, 34 Stat. 225 16
U.S.C. 431, do proclaim as follows:
The following-described lands in the State of Colorado are hereby excluded from the Colorado National Monumenti Sixth P r incipal M eridian

The lands hereby excluded from the monument shall not be subject to applir f011 location, settlement, entry, or nnwf ,orms f appropriation under the km?110" . aws or disposal under other ws until further order of an authorized mcer of the Department of the Interior.

Subject to valid existing rights, the following-described lands in the State of Colorado are hereby added to and reserved as parts of the Colorado N a
tional Monument and shall be subject to all laws, rules, and regulations applicable to that monument:

The areas described aggregate approxi mately 120 acres.

The Executive order of January 27,1913, creating Power Site Reserve No. 335", is hereby revoked to the extent that it affects any of the above-described lands added to the monument.
As affected by the exclusions and addi tions made by this proclamation, the boundaries of the Colorado National Monument are as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner o f sec.
31. T. 11 S., R. 101 W. of the sixth principal meridian;
thence westerly one-half m ile to the south & corner of sec. 36, T. 11 S., R.102 W., sixth principal meridian;
thence northerly three-eighths mile to the southeast corner o f the NE % NE 4SW 4 of the said sec. 36;
thence westerly one-eighth mile to the southwest corner o f the said N E N E %

thence northerly one-fourth m ile to the northwest corner o f the SE SE V4NW % of the said sec. 36;
thence easterly one-eighth m ile to the northeast corner o f the said SE%SE%NWi4;
thence northerly approximately three and three-eighths miles to the north lA corner o f sec. 13, T. 11 S., R. 102 W., sixth principal meridian on the south boundary o f sec. 31, T. 1 N., R. 2 W., Ute m eridian;

31, T. 1 N., R. 2 W., Ute meridian;
thence northerly 1 m ile to the northwest corner of the said sec. 31;
thence easterly one and three-fourths miles to the northeast corner o f the NWy4NEy4 sec. 32;
