organizations to unite in appropriate observance of Pan American Day and Pan American Week, in testimony of the solidarity which characterizes the rela tionship between the peoples of the United States and those of the other American Republics.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States of America to be affixed.
DONE at the City of Washington this 31st day of March in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and seal fifty-five, and of the Independ ence of the United States of America the one hundred and seventyninth.

WHEREAS April 14, 1955, will be observed in each of the twenty-one Republics of the Western Hemisphere as Pan American Day, celebrating the sixty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Pan American Union, which is the permanent organ and General Secre tariat of the Organization of American D wight D. E isenhower States; and WHEREAS the observances commem By the President:
