QUOTA FOR FLUE-CURED TOBACCO FOR
1948-49 MARKETING YEAR
725.405 Basis and purpose. The pur pose of this proclamation is to apportion among the several States the national marketing quota for flue-cured tobacco for the 1948-49 marketing year pro claimed on November 18, 1947, and pub lished in the F ederal R egister on Novem ber 22,1947 12 F. R. 7881, in accordance with the provisions of section 313 a of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938, as amended. Prior to the apportionment of such quota among the several States, public notice of the proposed action was given 12 F. R. 7605 in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. The views and recommendations of flue-cured tobacco growers and other interested per sons have been duly considered, within the limits prescribed by the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938, as amended, in apportioning the quota among the several States.
