By virtue of and pursuant to the au thority vested in me by a provision in the Independent Offices Appropriation Act, 1945, Public Law 358, 78th Congress, the following order is hereby issued.
Designations of employees to act as Comptroller General. I hereby designate J. C. McFarland, the General Counsel of the General Accounting Office, to act as Comptroller General of the United States during the absence or in capacity of the Comptroller General and the Assistant Comptroller General, or during a vacancy in both of such offices;
also, I hereby designate Dudley W. Bagley, the Assistant to the Comptroller Gen eral, to act as Comptroller General of the United States during the absence or incapacity of the Comptroller General, the Assistant Comptroller General and the General Counsel.
